We are able to rebuild any type of modern day transmission in house. This enables us to offer a very flexible service. Not every manual transmission requires a full rebuild; we are able to replace bearings only if the transmission is noisy, replace synchro rings if the transmission has poor gear selection. This service reduces the costs to up to 50% compared with a remanufactured transmission. All units are rebuilt using top quality parts such as Timken/NTN bearings, genuine synchro rings and forks. We carry a large number of remanufactured manual transmissions in stock.
Automatic Transmissions
We are the only company in Bristol dedicated to rebuilding your automatic transmission. With our vast experience and our continuing investment into the latest technology, insisting on OE/Genuine parts we can offer you a completely rebuilt transmission built with pride in our state of the art automatic transmission workshop. All transmissions are stripped completely inspected and reassembled, we only use genuine/OE approved parts to ensure the rebuilt unit is returned to as good as new. Where ever possible all transmissions are tested on our unique computer controlled Hydra-Test machine ensuring a right first time rebuild.
As members of ATSG we are advised of the latest upgrades as fit them as standard in all our rebuilds. Investing in the latest technology such as the Launch X-431 scanner enables us to interrogate the transmission's control units before we commence any work on the transmission. As the control of transmissions become more sophisticated, more external components such as mass air flow meters, throttle position sensors can cause the transmission to fail.
Transfer Boxes
More and more manufacturers are now introducing 4x4 to their range. We are able to offer a rebuild to any transfer box with the same high standards as our transmissions. We are pleased to announce that we now have the Land Rover Freelander IRD units available ex stock.
